WHAT IS ENDOCRINOLOGY?
Endocrinology is a branch of medicine concerned with the structure, function and disorders of the endocrine system that produce hormones. Hormones play a huge role in regulating the body’s metabolism, respiration, growth, reproduction, sensory perception and movement. Subsequently, when hormone imbalances occur, medical complications or conditions will arise. Examples of these conditions include Diabetes, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Grave’s disease.
